Tristan Ngo

Tristan Ngo is a rarity among chefs, successful restaurants owner (Skewers, The Elbow Room and a catering service), self-taught and self-made cook. As a husband and father, Tristan takes a practical approach to working with food. His down-to-earth attitude finds its culinary counterpart in food that is "simple, unpretentious and not too complicated to prepare."

Skewers is arguably one of the most successful and innovative restaurants in Vietnam. Established in 2000, Skewers have won numerous awards including; the Vietnamese Economic Times “Guide Award” for Best International Cuisine 2003 and Best Mediterranean Restaurant 2004. Internationally recognized, Skewers has appeared on Fox and NHK television, Lonely Planet, Footprints, Frommers, National Geographic Travel and The New York Times.
Tran Nghiep Lien

A native of Saigon loves food and a born businesswoman. She is simply known as "The Boss". Lien worked in the service industry a few years prior in teaming with Skewers from our humble beginning.

She dedicated herself to maintain quality of hospitality to many aspects of the restaurants, from financial sustainability through employee satisfaction. What more can we say? She is the Boss and run the show. Most evening you can find her behind the bar.
Le Thi Ha

The multi-talented Ha graduate from the Culinary Institute here in Vietnam is our acting executive chef and has been with Skewers for 12 years. Coming from an international hotel background where she learned her culinary skill and refined it here in Skewers.

From banqueting, catering and wine pairing dinners, Ha makes all of us looks good and my job easier. Ha is our backbone in our kitchen, multitasking day to day operation and train new kitchen staff.
Nguyen Thi Loan

Loan is our Energizer bunny. Most night you will find her bouncing from corner to corner of the kitchen ensuring the motor is constantly running. Loan is our sous chef and has been doing so for the past 8 years
